      Junior Buyer

      The successful candidate will be required to perform a Junior Buyer function within the Integrated Supply Chain Department, reporting to the Integrated Supply Chain Executive, and will be required to work in a team and independently.
      Location: Sasolburg

      Minimum Qualifications and minimum experience:

      • Grade 12 with Mathematics or Mathematics Literacy
      • Proficient in MS Word/MS Excel, Power Point and Outlook

      Added advantage:

      • Experience in ERP systems
      • Experience in Supply Chain
      • University Degree

       Main Responsibilities:

      Assisting with the supply chain process which includes:

      • Sourcing suppliers and request quotes
      • Assist with monthly pricing on BC and yearly budget calculations
      • Analise and interpret data and compile graphs
      • Purchase all packaging and labels for the SLC Group of companies
      • Control imports and exports for the SLC Group and Zarchem
      • Arrange Phenol exports
      • Control vendors in terms of complaints, ratings, and audits
      • Capture orders: intercompany, contracts, specific service providers etc
      • Arrange transport and logistics, air freight and sea freight where applicable in buying process
      • Approve invoices for warehouses, transporters and clearing agents
      • Assist with tender process for specific contracts upon expiry
      • Assist with engineering stock adjustments if needed
      • Maintain procedures and create new procedures
      • Take responsibility for identified contracts
      • General admin within the department

       Minimum Requirements:

      • Good computer, interpersonal and communication skills, highly motivated and be able to work independently and in a team.
      • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
      • Able to negotiate with suppliers
      • Must be able to prioritize large amounts of work under pressure
      • Adaptable to circumstances with good problem-solving skills
      • Positive attitude and ethical approach to business
      • Demonstrate initiative
